You just saw the radically documentation of my durable and long-term consumer goods. The documentation is not yet complete and will not be until I die because this is a lifelong project. For the traceability of the values: The market value (Marktwert) is the financial value of an object at the time of inventory. The market value is determined through research on the used goods market. The new price (Neupreis) can be determined if the object is available on the new market at the time the inventory is taken, an invoice for the object is available, there is a price tag attached to it or if I remember the price in the case of a new purchase. The usability (Nutzbarkeit) of an item is determined on a scale of 1 to 10. So basically I assume that every item has at least some use. The determination is made based on an assessment of certain properties of an object, such as the number of functions or handling. The ideal value (ideeller Wert) corresponds to my emotional connection to a thing. It is determined on a scale of 0 to 10. Usage frequency (Nutzungsfrequenz) records how often an object is used per month. A flat monthly length of 30 days is assumed. If it was used more than 2 years ago, the object counts as unused and therefore receives the value 0. The aesthetic value (ästhetischer Wert) is determined on a scale of 0 to 10 by my visual and tactile perception. Many objects are jointly owned by my husband and I. My digital goods have not yet been recorded in detail. In the following months I will continue to document and work on evaluating the values. Visit the website again to discover.
After completing my professional training as a specialist in office communication at the Federal Statistical Office in Wiesbaden, I began studying art. First I studied fine art at the HGB in Offenbach, then media art at the HGB in Leipzig, from where I live and work. I mainly work with photography and film, besides I do painting, drawing & performance. I critically deal with patriarchal structures and gender relations, neoliberal realities and unfulfilled promises of consumerism in Western society. I want to weaken elitist structures. I am part of the Hitness Club e.V., an open TV laboratory in the east of Leipzig that is dedicated to working with amateurs.
